Terms of use

The rules of the road. Last updated 2026-05-19.

These terms govern your use of kidseatfree.co.uk (“the site”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the site.

What the site is, and isn’t

kidseatfree.co.uk is a free editorial directory of UK restaurants, pubs, cafés and hotels that publish a “kids eat free” or “kids eat for £1” offer on their own website. We list venues for the convenience of parents and carers searching for a family meal. Listings are evidence-led, not pay-to-play: venues appear because they publish an offer we can check, not because they paid for placement. Where a booking link or button is commercial, the relationship will be disclosed where required.

We are not a booking service. When you tap the “Book a table” button on a card, your browser is sent to the venue’s own booking page on the chain’s own website. Your booking is made with them, on their terms, subject to their conditions.

We are not the operator of any venue listed. Each venue is operated by the relevant chain. Any contract for a meal, table booking, or offer redemption is between you and the venue — not between you and us.

Accuracy of offers

We work hard to keep offer details correct, and we re-verify each chain’s offer page on a weekly cycle (see how we do it). Even so, venues change deals, restrict them to certain days, pause them during school holidays, or withdraw them entirely at short notice. We cannot and do not guarantee that an offer shown on the site is still running tonight, or that the terms shown are unchanged since we last checked.

Always confirm the offer with the venue before turning up if it matters.A two-minute phone call to the restaurant beats a frustrated child in a car park.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, up-to-date, or free of viruses or other harmful content. We give no warranty about the quality, safety, hygiene, accessibility, dietary suitability, allergen labelling, or kid-friendliness of any venue.

Liability

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by:

  • A venue declining to honour an offer we listed.
  • A venue being closed when we said it was open.
  • A booking failing on the venue’s own system.
  • A meal, allergy incident, accident, or any other matter that happens at a venue.
  • Any information on the site being out of date.

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability we cannot lawfully exclude — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Third-party links

The site contains links to third-party websites (chain booking pages, Google Maps, the Postcodes.io service, and others). We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Once you leave the site, their terms and privacy policies apply.

Acceptable use

Please don’t use the site to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data beyond what a normal browser would request. We provide a sensible page-load budget for visitors; we don’t provide an unmetered data feed.
  • Attempt to overload, probe, or break the site or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Reproduce the venue listings on another commercial directory without permission.
  • Mislead other users with false reports or pranks.

Our content

The site’s design, copy, and database structure are ours. Chain logos, names and photographs belong to their respective owners and are used here for editorial reference. See the credits page for the per-image audit trail. If you’re a rights-holder and want a photo removed, please email us via the contact page and we’ll take it down promptly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version live on this page is always the current one. Material changes will move the “last updated” date at the top.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

This page is provided as a clear statement of how the site works. For binding legal advice — especially around liability and consumer rights — please consult a qualified legal adviser.
